24022015 Dinner at Manmaru, Midvalley

Thinking of what to eat at Midvalley Megamall, and was suggested to try some homemade noodles for dinner. Min and I, went to Manmaru Homemade Udon. I don't usually try udon because many Japanese place I know don't serve good ones, at all.

Chicken Teriyaki Onsen Tamago Udon
RM17.90 nett
One of the best udon I've tasted so far! Yummylicious!

Ishiyaki Eringi Udon
RM19.90 nett
Lots and lots of mushroom! This is simply wonderful!

Matcha Latte (cold)
RM10.90 nett
Not quite my cup of tea, but it's nice! At least Min likes it =)

The place is pretty nice, and the service is quite good as well. They're quick to take order and serve. However, it would be very much appreciated if their food looks as good as they taste. Not only does it look different from the menu, but look at the Match Latte, it was already melting and messy by the side before it reaches our table.

Price wise, it's pretty stiff. You're looking at RM15-RM25 range for a normal dinner. That's quite hefty. But for taste of homemade noodles, once in a while, it's not too bad at all.

07022015 Lunch at Oyster King, The Gardens

Went to Mid Valley with my family just for fun and to walk-about in a mall. Family decided to have lunch at Oyster King - we haven't had oyster-dishes in a while now.

Taste wise - it's pretty delicious! I thought they'd be too commercialize that the taste would be plain, but it's good enough to get me to come back again to order another plate of Oh Chien and the lala Fried Rice set! I'd try something else the next round =)

Service wise - they're friendly and not pushy, allowing us to take our time to decide. We're supposed to pay first upon ordering, but the waiter allowed us to the option of paying once we're done with our meals

Environment wise - don't expect too much from this place. It's just next to Ko Hyang, and frankly it's even smaller than Ko Hyang. We managed to find a comfortable spot, as soon as we finished, we felt we had to leave because others were waiting for a place to sit.

Price wise - reasonable and definitely affordable. You can check out their menu here. I don't know about the other outlets, but I find this one to my liking =)

On the side note, after our lunch, I went to the PC Expo at the Mid Valley Convention Centre, and found myself a gaming mouse! Best part is that due to it's clearance stock, from what used to be more than RM80 at retail price, I managed to get it at RM19! =D

01022015 Dinner at Ko Hyang, The Gardens

It's the first day of February! Ahh, so quickly did January just passed us by! Went to do shopping for the team at Aeon in Mid Valley Megamall. I always wondered what will happen if I didn't volunteer to buy the food, but in order to find out that answer, is to take the risk of losing at least 1 month's worth of refreshment for the team. That is one thing I cannot afford to let happen =)

But guess what I found?

Moving on, for dinner, I decided to have Korean meal. Honestly, I've not had so many Korean meals previously. But my makan buddy, Min is really into it, and thank God she knows what to recommend to a person, like me, who doesn't eat spicy food.

Taste wise - It's alright, but I think there's much room for improvement. Perhaps the other dishes with Kimchi are good, but the one I ate was rather watery in its sauce. What I saw on TV, and papers is definitely way thicker than this. Perhaps it's just me, but you might want to consider ordering other dishes instead of it, to save yourself the time.

Environment wise - It's rather cramp, so if you're looking for a comfty place, this is not a place you wanna be at. Only because it's a small lot, but they've set up many tables and chairs to maximize the seating for that they can have as many customers as they could. But it's clean and the waiters are rather punctual in their service so it's alright.

Price wise - I think it's about the same as most Korean meals. So there's nothing much to compare or say on this. If you're on a budget meal, this is will not be an option for you.
