Figured to bring Mum and Sis to Hungry Spoon Cafe to have ourselves a Mother's Day dinner. However, dinner was not enjoyable, not one bit! Despite many patrons at this cafe, I'm very surprised that from service to quality of the food was plain lousy!
Almost tasteless drinks and not to mentioned overly priced menus which came in really small portion. We thought of sharing the food between the of us, but the main course wasn't even enough for one person to eat, especially the Salmon. We were very disappointed not only with their food but also with how slow their service is. Verdict? Not coming back here ever again!
We ended up having to go to a McD nearby, ordered ourselves some dinner set to call it even. Sorry Mum =(

28032015 Seafood Dinner With Colleagues at Kafe HYK, Seremban
About some weeks back, a few of my colleagues planned for a seafood dinner at Seremban. I don't know why specifically Seremban, but it might because of price and quality (purely my assumption).
No. 40, Jalan S2 G2,
Garden Avenue, Seremban 2,
70300 Negeri Sembilan
A plate of lala (Cantonese word for Clams)
Spicy Crab
Butter Crab
Fried Crab With Cereal
I think that's what it is called, I have no idea.
We ate till we're so full!
Me, Min, Jess & Sen Yee
Here's some of us! But at Moonlight Cake House for supper.
Rushed off after dinner as we had to clear the table for other customers.
Went to wake pasar malam, but forgotten to take a group shot!

07032015 Dinner at Tea Garden, Sri Petaling
A few months ago, I saw the corner lot restaurant being renovated and a signboard that states it was Tea Garden. Honestly, I thought it was going to be a tea shop. But as soon as they opened, it's crowded almost everyday! So my family and I decided to go and check it out ourselves.
Taste wise - far better than what I expected; it was great! The curry was just nice for me (but if you're a fan of spicy food, it might come as too mild for you), and the thick sauce of the creamy pumpkin was splendid. However, the bread may come a little of a disappointment, not only because of its looks, but also because of its taste. Chocolate Banana bread shouldn't go too wrong, right?
Service wise - quick to serve and they definitely prioritized first-come-first-serve. My family and I was there but there wasn't a table on the inside, so we waited a while for the other table to vacant. However, while waiting, another family came by. Luckily, the waiters there gently told the other family that we were waiting for the table first and it's only fair to us to get it. It feels great when you're treat right!
Environment wise - prior to Tea Garden, it was a mamak, and the space wasn't big then. So, when Tea Garden took over, they improved the interior, however they can't change reality. I can say it's rather cramp, but there's should suffice for small groups of friends and family. If you come in a group of more than 6, you'd have to prepare to be separated into different tables.
Price wise - it's affordable and the variety of food is good as well. I didn't have a problem making an order, however need to note that some menus are not available for dinner. Otherwise, this is a great place to dine =)

07032015 Lunch at Restaurant 126, Sri Petaling
My mum told me of yet another restaurant that serves a great selection of dishes for economy rice. It's a must go place, especially if it's nice!
Taste wise - WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) with the exception that most of the dishes are actually quite good =D Or at least the ones that I selected, and the ones that my mum had previously chosen as well.
Environment wise - it's a self service area, you get your plate / pack of rice, and you select your own dishes. Then you walk up to the counter whereby your food is evaluated and priced for its portion. Thereafter, you find a table to sit at (if you're eating there) or you quickly move on (if you're packing away). There are many tables, but not much space between them. So you'll be finding yourself cramped up while eating. It's not a place to chill, if that's what you're asking =) But it's a place to grab a quick, good and filling lunch.
Price wise - very affordable, as you can see from the picture above - Meat, tofu, and vegetables, with soup and tea comes at only RM5. It's rare to even find this deal in KL or PJ, so to see it in my housing area, where everything is pricier than other place, is rarer.

Long Day at Work
But it's not going to be a long post, it's just that it's one of those days whereby you gotta delivery the job regardless of what situation your in, and for me, it's today... or yesterday? I'm not even sure what day it is already.
It's kinda interesting 'cause I managed to fit a number of activities into 24 hours time frame.
- Work
- Badminton
- A meet up with a friend
- Slides preparation for a presentation
- Advising / consulting on different project
- Attending to a friend in need
As you can see work itself takes up half the time and activities within the 24 hours. Surprisingly, as tired as it may sound, it was rather fun and fulfilling =)
Late night snacks to keep the 'engine' going on
Tofu Cheesecake - to die for~~ at The Owls Cafe in Bukit Jalil.. Too bad they closed their kitchen by the time I go there.
Salmon Pasta - well, it's pretty salty though if you ask me. at the Moonlight Cake House in Sri Petaling Somehow the taste of their food is rather inconsistent.

25012015 Dinner at Sushi Mentai
My family decided to go to Sushi Mentai for dinner, telling me that it's pretty cheap sushi. And so we went =)
Taste wise - pretty good and fresh. My mum likes it a lot! I think the portion per piece is big! A few plates and I was already kinda full. They did my soft shell crab temaki pretty well, so I'm pretty pleased with them.
Service wise - they're quick to take order and they're friendly too. Although the staff that served me were foreign workers, they could still explain to me some of the items on the menu and I could understand them. It took a while to get some order and I guess it's because they only prepare those items upon order - which is a plus point for me. I ordered egg roll and boy was it "fresh from the pan" =)
Price wise - cheap and affordable! For the items on the conveyor belt, it was either RM1.80 or RM2.80 per plate, so there's many varieties for you to pick and they are really good. That's good news for everyone! For the items off the conveyor belt (including the seasonal menu), it's affordable and still slightly cheaper than that of Sushi King, Sushi Zanmai, etc.

10012015 Simple Lunch at Triple Mellow Cafe, Sri Petaling
Found out that there's a recently opened cafe called Triple Mellow Cafe, nearby my house. Since I was hungry, figured that I should pay them a visit =)
ze menu
bicycle and medal on display Yes, you can touch them
the view, i like the brick walls somehow :)
This just seems to me like a very nice place for relaxation and coffee
after ordering, gotta take a number
Willow Mellow, one of their signature dish I love the omelette! The greens were a bit too oily though. But overall, it's quite good. RM11.50
Every cafe I've been to recently has this same style of serving water. The manufacturer of this thingamajic (don't know the name for this water-holder yet) must have a lot of orders recently!
this decoration is pretty nice, so I just had to take a picture of it!
Can't wait to try out the other menus, the staff recommended me to try the "Under the Sun Average Chicken Thigh with Triple Mellow Sauce", "Iced Caffe Triple Mellow" and just in case I'm feeling a little adventurous, the "Orange Banana Mint".
