24022015 Dinner at Manmaru, Midvalley

Thinking of what to eat at Midvalley Megamall, and was suggested to try some homemade noodles for dinner. Min and I, went to Manmaru Homemade Udon. I don't usually try udon because many Japanese place I know don't serve good ones, at all.

Chicken Teriyaki Onsen Tamago Udon
RM17.90 nett
One of the best udon I've tasted so far! Yummylicious!

Ishiyaki Eringi Udon
RM19.90 nett
Lots and lots of mushroom! This is simply wonderful!

Matcha Latte (cold)
RM10.90 nett
Not quite my cup of tea, but it's nice! At least Min likes it =)

The place is pretty nice, and the service is quite good as well. They're quick to take order and serve. However, it would be very much appreciated if their food looks as good as they taste. Not only does it look different from the menu, but look at the Match Latte, it was already melting and messy by the side before it reaches our table.

Price wise, it's pretty stiff. You're looking at RM15-RM25 range for a normal dinner. That's quite hefty. But for taste of homemade noodles, once in a while, it's not too bad at all.

22032015 Dinner at Meng Kee Char Siew Restaurant, Kuchai Lama

Mum told me about a noodles restaurant in Kuchai Lama which she liked and wanted me to try it. So, we drove there and decided to try out some of the menu.

Taste wise - they're delicious! very different from other noodles shop, especially if compared with the common hawker stalls. They have bigger fillings for the wantan and fried dumpling. However, personally I didn't like some of the vegetables that they included into the dumpling. It's just me though.

Service wise - you see what you get. It's a normal Chinese restaurant, so you'll get the usual treatment. Nothing special. They're quick to take order and quick to serve as well.

Price wise - pretty affordable and reasonable pricing; about the same price as you would get from a hawker stall. But for their price and portion, I'd say it's a pretty darn good deal! You must try the minced pork sausage!

02032015 New Intern at Office

There's a hot chick Kuli new intern in my office! Very goody-two-shoes looking. Kinda remind me of when I started working some years ago. Eager to get things done, always wanting to do and learn more. He showed all of that when we worked just a while.

Terence in the house!
Well, he's way better looking than me..
It's customary in our team time to have lunch at the Chow Kit Food Court, and have the famous only wantan mee in the area! =D

Behold the wantan mee of Chow Kit !
Price has gone up, to RM6.00 for a large bowl

Oh Guess what I bought for home-entertainment? LOL
I managed to sort them colors out within minutes...
Ok-lah, I wasn't paying attention on my game, as I was watching TV
But you should give this a try whenever you can,
and see how you can complete it within a certain timeframe.

26012015 Late Dinner at Restaurant Tiong Hokkien Mee

One thing about getting off work late is that it's pretty hard to find decent food around my office area. Tonight is no exception. Went slightly out of the way, Damansara Uptown (DU). Clueless of what to eat, I turned to Min, and she had the same expression as I did - Clueless. Went around DU, I decided to just got for plain noodles. Found a parking, and started walking. I heard in DU there's famous Hokkien Mee, but I wasn't sure which shop. Our stomachs were grumbling, so we went to the first restaurant we came across, Tiong's Hokkien Mee.

We ordered 2 people's portion, and it was RM15. Honestly, it's kinda pricier than I thought for Hokkien Mee. It was rather normal, nothing quite exceptional. You can probably get this off any hawker stall, for lesser than what I paid.

I noticed everyone seated around us were ordering something similar, Fried Chicken Wings to go along with their main dish. So, I looked at Min, asked if she's interested in trying. She gave a big nod, haha. It's RM2.80 per wing, with minimum order of a pair. Each of us a wing, so that makes it RM5.60 for a pair of fried chicken wings. Slightly pricier than the BBQ Chicken Wings we had a few days back.
