Train to Busan: Top 5 Flaws

Source: www.shaw.sg

Love it or hate it? I LOVE IT! But I won't be talking what I love about it. I think it's pretty obvious if you googled out or read the reviews about it. Honestly, I'd suggest you to just watch it - like go buy a movie ticket for whatever next screening available for you!

Well, I don't do vlogs, as I'm a nervous-wreck in front of cameras, so this will be in a written form instead. If you don't like it, there's always the X button at the top right of the tab/window. Feel free to comment below on your thoughts about the movies, or if you found more flaws about the movie.

**Beware of Spoiler Alert**

#5 First Zombie Onboard!

Saw how the first zombie got onboard the train without anyone noticing? The Train Attendant didn't feel anyone moving behind him, or the loud stump the person-before-turned-into-zombie made? As the person-before-turned-into-zombie was "its" way trough the carriage, no one felt suspicious at all? That's one super effective biological weapon there!

#4 Zombie's Nature

The zombies are portrayed to be highly sensitive to noise, and they react at the sight of a human. They have poorer sensitivity to light as compared to humans, therefore in very dim light, they are not able to detect humans. How do instinctively detect human? Not by smell nor heat senses definitely, otherwise all the human characters would have been long dead.

#3 The Escape Plan

I get that they want to go to somewhere safe. But, it's not really a battle against time so why the rush? They had already identify the zombie's reaction to human sight, available light and sound. One of the main character (before he turned into a zombie and jump off the train) was able to calm down to figure out the routing of the train and plan their way through the carriages to get the other survivors. Shouldn't he also be able to come out with a plan to hide away from plain sight? There are a lot of materials to build a cloak-like cover.

#2 Evil IS Dumb AF

Trying to get rid of some people because they might be a threat, is an naturally acceptable act of fear. But why would you lock them in a safer location than where you're at, and not put yourself there in the first place? Let's do a quick recap. There are 3 carriages, in an orderly manner, at this point of context: A. Carriage with Zombies, B. Carriage with survivors, C. Carriage with outcasted survivors. (C is furthest away from A, while B is just after A) See the picture now? So, ladies and gentlemen, here's the unexpected outcome! The evil "geniuses" were busy securing the joint-point of carriage B&C, instead of fortifying the joint-point of carriage A&B. Thus, allowing a suicidal old lady to bring a WTF-moment into the story!

#1 It Ain't Safe Until The Young Lady Sings!

The golden moment goes to the young girl who sang at the ending moment, indirectly signaling to the military personnel that she and the pregnant lady were in no doubt humans. So the billion dollar question is: Who taught/told her to sing for safety? I'm assuming she knew (or someone knew) that it's safe to sing! Like we didn't already know that sound attracts zombie, regardless of light's presence. The young girl knew it was her fatal mistake that contributed to her dad turning into a zombie, and by any means, anyone with that experience would remain silent after a long and loud cry. Even the military was covertly operating as silently and distantly from the gate as possible. Mind blowing instinct she has, doesn't she!

And there you have, the Top 5 Flaws of the hottest Korean movie in town, Train To Busan!

Our Times - Possibly The Best Couple Movie of All Time

I'm not quite the type to watch a movie of which its language I'm not familiar with, but after hearing a few of my friends opinion about it. I decided to watch it and figured that she might like it too. So, I told her to make time, because we're gonna watch after work.

Taken from onehallyu.com

Watching the movie at first, I was being skeptical with thoughts of how could such a movie be that good. The introduction was alright, but the turning point for it is when they went back into time. The longer I watch, the more I like it and I paid much more attention to the characters portraying the emotions. They were very genuine.

Without realizing much, I was turning more emotional and nostalgic. I could relate to almost every part of the movie, especially on the part where it showed about high school activities. Even included the puppy love, which I'm sure almost everyone I know would have had some experienced in it (otherwise, they pretty much didn't have a life back then =P ).

Towards the end, I had mixed feelings of joy, sorrow and touched feelings. After a while, I was overwhelmed and I couldn't hold back my manly tears, and let it go... I was also surprised by the special casting by some really unexpected actors! All I can say is bravo to the director and producer of this movie! The cast were also amazing!

This movie, Our Times, is a definitely must-watch movie!

21032015 Movie, Lunch and A Marathon

This week's been a pretty hectic week, with everyone seemingly rushing for project deliveries and due dates. It was very exhausting, and a number of events happening concurrently as well. So, I decided to have a fun weekend, so that I can shake the stress and the draggy feeling off me.

This is a rather different type of futuristic robot movie, I must say it's pretty darn good!
However, I don't know why a robot's vocal can be programmed with Indian-slang, hahaha
If you haven't seen it, you should catch it!

Lunch at New York Steak Shack at Sunway Pyramid!
This is the Groupon-special, Mixed Grill Set for only RM19.00
and it comes with a soft drink. So, that's what both Min & I had.
However, what surprises me is that the meat served were nearly half the thickness of the usual serving.
Nevertheless it's still very nice!

Then, we went for a short walk and shopping, since Min wanted to look for a comforter.
Looked around and she found what she wanted.
I must she's a very spontaneous person, hahaha.

By evening, I had a marathon to attend.
Men's Health Women's Health Night Run 2015 at Putrajaya Presint 3

The panoramic view of the arrival location.

The panoramic view of the line of runners!

The panoramic view on the other side

Towards the end of the run, I stopped to take this panoramic view of the lake

And that's me at the finishing line!

Look at all the goodies I got from the race!

01032015 Movie Time & Dinner!

I've been wanting to watch Kingsman, due to the good review and recommendation. So I buzzed up my friends, however not many actually replied with a "Yes". Luckily, there were two girls who accompanied me to watch the show =)

Luckily it's not so packed at Tropicana =)

Unfortunately, the show was not quite up to my expectations. Probably, I set quite a high expectation for it. It was quite funny, that I gotta give it credits. However, it's not quite as exciting or action-packed as I thought it would be through the trailers that I've watched. And I still didn't get UK jokes, hahaha.

After movies, we hung out at Epicuro.
They didn't have anything to eat after lunch, and before 6pm.
The girls had coffee and we chat a while, before we left the place.

Cantonese Yee Mee!
At damansara uptown, the shop is known for Hokkien Mee.
So naturally we had to find dinner.
One of the girls had to leave, so it's down to one girl for me =P
It's lucky to company for dinner, eh? =D

And of course, not to forget Fried Chicken Wings! =D
Movie & Dinner, definitely fulfilling enough =)
It's a good start for the month!

First Words of the Day (Guess Who) and Ang Pow & Movie Time with Mum, of the Year!

You know what and how great friendship starts with? Small talks. And it goes a long way, I strongly believe. I used to have issues with small talks - if I don't have an agenda with you, I find it purposeless to start a conversation, what more with small talks. However, as time passes by (although time files, you don't have to wait for a long time, I assure you) the number of people who will stay will change, either increasing or reducing pattern, and in my case it's the latter. I understand how it feels like to start off with many peers and slowly having to realize that it's not a growing number either. But I found, ever since I learned about small talks, I no longer have to worry about that anymore. Long time friends, old buddies, new friendship, or buddies yet to be - I can have them all now =) Nothing fancy really, here's one of the chat I have:

First words of the day =D

Woke up today with a surprise from mum (actually it came from my ex-neighbor) - I got my first Ang Pow (red packet) of the year! Woohoo! I know I said it doesn't matter if I receive it or not, however whenever I do get it, I have this tingling feel of excitement inside me! I guess I have to admit, I still have a little boy in me who gets excited ever so easily =)

Mum had received two (2) free movie tickets, compliments of TGV's Movie Club. It's a pretty neat membership package by TGV, which includes two (2) free movie tickets and a regular popcorn set upon signing up and another two (2) free movie tickets and a regular popcorn set (what, again? Are you kidding me?!) on your birthday. The other benefits of the TGV Movie Club are exclusive invitations to special screenings, advanced move tickets in which you can buy ahead of others, and earn MovieMoney from purchases from TGV (online and over-the-counter). How much does this membership cost? Only RM28 (that's RM7/movie ticket + benefits), but for the prosperous month of February, it's being offered at RM25 (that's RM6.25/movie ticket + benefits). No brainer right? =D
(note: this is not a sponsored post; I just felt like sharing this, after calculating out the benefits for myself)

Tickets for two, for Triumph in the Skies

I haven't watched movies with Mum since a long time ago. And after sorting out my stuff much earlier, we decided to catch a movie together. Mum liked (if not loved) the TVB drama series, "Triumph in the Skies", so naturally this would be our pick since there wasn't much selection at that point of time.

I'd suggest anyone to watch if, but specifically for couples, haha =D It was a little awkward for Mum and I, 'cause nearly everyone else in the movie hall were couples. The movie was alright, very funny and I love the videography of film. However, I did think they overused the color-filters a tad bit too much. In my opinion, I don't think the places they film was ever that colorful, even though I've not been there before. But, it was fun through-out the film. Sammy Cheng's voice is still as good as ever~! And Captain Jayden aka Captain Cool is super cool! I don't know how he keeps his looks, dangamit! LOL

28012015 Movie Blackhat Min & Von

We've heard of a lot of hype about the movie, Blackhat which features my favorite artist, Lee Hom, and also Chris Hemsworth. I had planned this with Von and Min, for over a week now. I realized that Quill City Mall's (QCM) GSC's system is so new that I can't book more than 2 days in advance. So, I thought that it wasn't screening at QCM. Luckily, I went directly to the counter to ask, and managed to buy us 3 tickets, in the middle of the cinema! =)

Before going to the movie we grab dinner. The girls wanted korean food, and only choice for its taste is Sopoong. I usually go for Udon & 1/2 Gimbap set, so tonight I tried something different.

The movie itself... wasn't half as exciting as I thought it would be, especially with all the hype going around. It is also the first movie I saw that has so much close ups! Like literally, 3/4 of the movie was faces! I know Lee Hom looks good, but I didn't expect to be seeing him so closely on screens! Tang Wei was so close, that I could see some of her hidden pimples (gotta be amazed with HD quality nowadays, hahaha). A piece of advise, if you're not into Lee Hom and close-up videography, DON'T BOTHER watching this at the cinema!

I admit that I was attracted to the movie, mainly because of Lee Hom

I tried to capture a panoramic view of the cinema we're in.
But I guess I failed here.

Min, Von & Me
Super-tired-look after the movies.
